Our story

Serious German
for serious goals.

Medlingua opened its doors in Berlin in 2016 with a clear focus that has not changed since: serious German for serious goals. The academy was built around one observation made again and again — courses that produced certificates, but rarely the confident, clinical, professional German that real careers in Germany demand.

Today we are a small, specialised school. We work with international doctors preparing for the Fachsprachprüfung and Approbation, with nurses, dentists and pharmacists making the move, with students aiming at TestDaF or DSH, and with professionals building business German for a German workplace. Every programme is built around the moments our students actually face — a patient on a ward, an oral exam committee, a Bewerbungsmappe for a hospital, a first day in a new clinic.

Across nearly a decade we have helped hundreds of professionals across more than twenty countries reach their German goals. We remain small on purpose: small classes, close attention, and a team that knows your name, your timeline and your reason for being here.

What we stand for

The four values you feel in every lesson.

  1. 01

    Passion for teaching

We teach because we love it. Every instructor is here because they find genuine joy in helping someone unlock a new language and a new life.

  2. 02

    Student-centred

No two students arrive with the same goal, timeline or starting level. We adapt the path, never the standard.

  3. 03

    Excellence in education

Certified instructors, structured methods, and an unembarrassed insistence on quality. The standards we hold are the ones the FSP, telc and TestDaF will hold.

  4. 04

    A cultural bridge

We teach the language, the system and the workplace. Living and working in Germany takes more than vocabulary — and our students leave prepared for all of it.
